Lime Soil Stabilization

What it is:

Lime Soil Stabilization is a treatment performed on structures built on fatty clays. Over time these clays begin to shift and “slide,” causing foundation shifting and racking. Some of the signs of deteriorating clays include: cracking windows, cracked foundation, cracked walls, doors coming off square, and windows not being able to open/shut. Because fatty clays are soils that absorb a lot of water, swelling and shrinking with climate fluctuations, they need to be stabilized to avoid harm to the foundation. Treating the soils around and below the structure try to eliminate further moisture changes in the soil and create stabilized soils for a strong foundation. Lime Soil Stabilization can hazardous if not handled by trained professionals. Luckily, Denco has a trained team of pros that can perform this treatment safely.
